Which RPG have you played the most in your life?
Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay. First and Second Edition.
We made it through a good chunk of the original legendary campaign, The Enemy Within, from the Shadows over Bogenhafen, through the Death on the Reik before finally going astray somewhere in rotten Kislev.
A few years after Black Industries started churning out the second edition I started getting back into the hobby. I devoured the new releases in a way that I hadn’t gone all-in with any other multi-volume line. I can’t see me doing that again with any other roleplaying product – although let’s see what Cubicle 7 come up with in the next incarnation later this year.
I ran a string of occasional one-shots, as well as embarking on some short-lived campaigns. But my makeshift gaming group disbanded as real life started happening again.
After that I’ve mostly played convention games (until starting a campaign of The One Ring last autumn). That means I get to taste many different games, but no one system has come close to racking up the hours I amassed with WFRP, my WFRP, over the last three decades.
